Hi there, my name is Royale Jernigan! I'm originally from New York City, but I now live in North Carolina. I decided to move here after graduating and I couldn't be happier with my decision!
Growing up I've always had a passion for technology, Additionally, I love learning about people and empathizing with users on their journeys. User Experience Research & Design allows me to continue to learn about people while improving products and services. My educational background is in Psychology and I have over 5 years of work experience in EX & CX research. Surveys and user interviews are my bread & butter, but design is where my heart is.
Outside of work, I serve with the Youth team at my church. I love watching movies, spending time with my friends & family, and going to the Farmer's Market on the weekends. I enjoy painting, re-watching my favorite show "The Office", and playing with my dog; Denali. I'm also looking forward to beginning my journey in Olympic Weightlifting.
I'm excited about what the future holds, and I can't wait for you to join me on my journey!

I enjoy designing user interfaces that help marginalized individuals have quality experiences on the web. I feel that UX Research & UX Design gives me a way to advocate for those that may not otherwise have a way for their voice to be heard. I feel that design makes the process complete by providing visual solutions to research questions and user pain points.
